Microclimate

Located in between of two national forest parks, Bambito is crossed by two mountain ridges from east to west creating two natural microclimates. These ridges protect the coffees trees from the summer north winds. The southern part of the estate has the majority of the sun exposure from early morning to mid afternoon. The north part has less solar exposure, has more shaded area and humidity as a creak runs through.

Biodiversity

Our coffee plantation is fortunate to have two spring water sources utilized for irrigation and for the mill process, and the Chiriqui Viejo river flows across from the farm. It has 5 hectares of forest composed of native trees that maintain the rich biodiversity including birds such as the quetzal, tucan, robins and several varieties hummingbirds among others.
